Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer,” “Client,” or “User”) and Rifat Refrigerator And Engineering, a service business established in 2019, owned by Sujan Mahmud, operating from Arhams, Plot No-79, Sector-7, Dhaka-Mymensingh Main Road, Uttara C/A, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

By scheduling any service, submitting an inquiry, calling our number, or browsing our website, you automatically agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all customers across our entire service area in Dhaka City, regardless of how you contacted us.

These Terms are written in clear, simple language so you know exactly what to expect from Rifat Refrigerator And Engineering and what we expect from you in return.

We reserve the right to decline any service request that falls outside our technical capacity, safety standards, or current availability without obligation to provide a reason.

Booking & Appointments

You can book our services via phone call, WhatsApp, email, or directly through our website. All bookings are subject to technician availability and your geographic location within our service area.

  • All appointment slots are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Our service hours are every day from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight), including weekends and public holidays.
  • We will call or message you before dispatch to confirm arrival time.
  • Estimated arrival times are advisory and may vary due to traffic or previous job complexity.
  • If our technician cannot reach you after two attempts, the appointment may be marked as missed.
  • Emergency or same-day bookings are subject to additional charges based on urgency and availability.

Please note: Booking an appointment does not guarantee a specific technician. We assign the most suitable technician based on the job type and current schedule.

Pricing & Payments

Our pricing is transparent and communicated to you before any work begins. We believe in fair, upfront pricing with no hidden costs.

  • A service visit fee (diagnostic charge) may apply and is communicated at the time of booking.
  • Final repair costs are quoted only after the technician has diagnosed the problem on-site.
  • Any additional parts required for repair are charged separately at prevailing market rates.
  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • We accept cash and mobile banking (bKash, Nagad, Rocket) as payment methods.
  • Prices are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and are inclusive of applicable charges unless stated otherwise.
  • Service charges may vary for different areas of Dhaka due to travel considerations.
  • We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time without prior notice on the website, but any quoted price during an active booking will be honoured.

Service Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. All completed repairs carried out by our certified technicians come with a limited service warranty as described below:

The warranty is void if the appliance is tampered with by a third party after our repair, subjected to electrical surge damage, misused, or the fault is caused by unrelated issues.

Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to deliver professional service, Rifat Refrigerator And Engineering’s liability is limited to the direct cost of the service provided.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to an appliance that was not reported before service began.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss including food spoilage, property damage caused by pre-existing faults, or loss of income.
  • Our maximum liability to any customer shall not exceed the total fee paid for that specific service.
  • We are not responsible for damage caused by power surges, improper voltage, or electrical issues at your premises.
  • Advice or recommendations given by our technicians are based on their professional assessment and do not constitute a guarantee of outcome.

Customer Responsibilities

To help us deliver the best service, we ask that customers fulfil the following responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate information about the appliance, brand, model, and fault when booking.
  • Ensure the appliance and work area are reasonably accessible when our technician arrives.
  • Remove or secure personal items near the appliance before the technician begins work.
  • Ensure a responsible adult (18 years or older) is present throughout the service visit.
  • Inform us of any known electrical or safety issues at your premises before the visit.
  • Settle payment promptly upon service completion as per the agreed amount.
  • Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself between booking and our visit, as this may alter the fault condition and affect the accuracy of our diagnosis.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is designed to be fair to both parties.

  • You may cancel or reschedule an appointment free of charge by contacting us at least 2 hours before the scheduled time.
  • Late cancellations (less than 2 hours’ notice) may incur a nominal cancellation fee.
  • If our technician has already been dispatched and you cancel, a travel charge may apply.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule an appointment due to technician unavailability, traffic emergencies, or force majeure events. You will be notified promptly.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in us declining future bookings from the same customer.

  • Intentionally damaging an appliance after service and claiming warranty coverage.
  • Using our website in any way that could cause harm, overload our servers, or compromise site security.

Violation of this section may result in refusal of future service, cancellation of active bookings, and — where applicable — legal action under the laws of Bangladesh.
